Why do I need a Major Review?
Your sum insured needs to be reassessed on an annual basis to reflect any inflationary effects. In addition to an annual adjustment, a Major Review and reassessment should be carried out every three years, or earlier if there have been any alterations to the property.
A Major Review is a desk-based assessment, so it costs less than a site-based Reinstatement Cost Assessment and can be arranged quickly.
We can carry out a Major Review of your property to update your sum insured, if we carried out your original Reinstatement Cost Assessment. If there have been any alterations to your property, we would advise that a new Reinstatement Cost Assessment should be arranged instead.
