James initially worked for BCH in 2009 and left to join the first Lloyd’s of London claims graduate programme in London. This scheme involved secondments within the corporation itself, with a broker, law firm, two loss adjusting firms and a Lloydís syndicate. After the scheme finished, James continued his career in the London Market, before returning to BCH in 2019. James is a Building Insurance Surveyor and works on special projects for BCH, most recently working on the launch of our Benchmark e-valuation service.

His passion for buildings continues away from work, where he is currently restoring a Grade II Listed home.
